PT Associate Youth Pastor - Glory Baptist Church, Aitkin, MN

Glory Baptist Church is seeking a part time associate pastor of youth with creativity, passion and understanding for our youth and youth programs.  Glory Baptist church is nestled in northern Minnesota's beautiful pine forest approximately 100 miles north of the Twin Cities.  Our location is ideal for the outdoors enthusiast as well as those seeking entertainment in a large metropolitan setting.  This exciting position is primarily responsible for developing, overseeing, coordinating all youth programs for students in 7^th through 12^th grades.  Key responsibilities include: model an active and passionate personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Passionately minister to both students and their parents; recruiting, developing, and supporting a team of godly adults while equipping adult leaders to work with the youth.  Teach the youth Biblical, theological, and life concepts through youth ministry programs.  Provide experiences where youth can connect with God and other youth through a variety of special events throughout the year including summer mission trips, youth retreats, and community projects.  Encourage youth to use their gifts by providing opportunities for them to serve within our ministries and out in the community.

Qualifications:

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ

A Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry and/or Bible, or an undergraduate pursuing a Seminary degree preferred

Youth ministry experience preferred

Experience leading volunteers

Good oral and interpersonal communication skills

Good relational skills with youth, parents, leaders and church congregation

Ability to create and interact with age appropriate and relevant curriculum

Understand adolescent development, and youth culture trends

Ability to manage a budget

Good organizational skills
